If you do notice/aware lately.....there are MAKNA volunteers at public places such as shopping complexes to pledge for more public to come forward to donate and support their activities to create awareness and help those in need......please land a helping hand if you could afford.
I normally would try to avoid as far as possible when stranger trying to approach me in public....not giving them a single chance by giving all kind of excuses...no time la....i am in a hurry la. Blah....blah....blah. But today, I somehow stopped and that couple of minutes spent/given to this volunteer trying to explain about their campaign/activities ended up myself signed up as ongoing pledge donor.
It is really not that much they are asking where you can either donate RM58 or RM38 per month on ongoing basis...less than RM2 a day....which most of us could find this extra RM2 for good deed if we wanted. Of course...you can stop at anytime if you decided to stop contributing...
Recalling the ordeal 3 years ago when my mum was diagnosed with cervical cancer that caught all of us by surprise....going through that phase was not easy for me...but thank God I have a bunch of good friends supporting me in many ways and $$$ was not the issue as my mum has a medical insurance that covers the cost of treatment/operation...etc.
Imagine if we are in a less fortunate situation......guess this is the least I could do to help those really in need.
