Siemens Run 2009

Huh??? What have I been up to last Sunday morning??? It was so not me when I actually got myself up 5.30am on Sunday???? Yeah.....lari......jangan tak lari. After been working in the same building with Siemens Malaysia for 9 years.....That was the 1st time I signed up for the annual 10km Siemens run along with my ex-colleagues.....without really preparing for this event. The last time I ran on threadmill in the gym (weeks before the race day) already struggling like hell to finish 5km!

Not me that so kiasu arrived at the venue when the sky is still dark......thank you to Leena for snapping all the photos in this post. Anyway, most of us just sign up for the sake of having fun that morning....kalau tak larat lari...we just walk lorr.....what's the bug deal kan?

After some 1hr 26mins......that's me "walking" back to the finish line with my victory sign....hahaha....tak malu!!! walking??? Oh yeah....after the 5km mark....I was like half dead.....so I was actually walk and run.......until the last 3km which I have to walk all the way to the finish line...not that I had given up running but my running shoes suddenly gave up on me....damn!!! The bottom sole came off!!! So....good excuse to walk lorr......hahahahaa.
Group photo after all of us completed the run.......ok la....none of us gave up....all completed the race with the 1st person from our group reached the finish line in 1hr 4min and the last person clocked in 1hr 48min. So all 11 of us completed well below 2hrs we set for ourselves with 5 of us completed the whole 10km run without stopping! Nothing to shout about....but also not to compare with seasoned runners la.....most importantly we all completed the route and we were really having a fun time.....

So guys....our next run will be the Mizuno Wave Run (10km) in Oct 09 with each of us set a new goal doing better than this Siemens run??? Before that I need to get a new pair of running shoes and start running!!!!
