This year's Company Ping Pong Tournament will be kicking-off officially next Friday 29 June, 2007 after work. Last year we only had the individual events (for the ladies & men), this year the organizer decided to have a team events and it will be a 3 corner fight (based on departments) between the Application Support, Sales & Technical and EADS. Each department would have two representative teams (Team A & Team B) comprises 2 singles player and 1 double. Admin & Finance (100% ladies) decided just to go for the Bowling Tournament coming up right after the Ping Pong Tournamnet which I will be the co-organizer.
So, based on the format change, this year every point and match win would be counted and would make a difference as the 2 Application Support Teams (the only department) would have ladies players. I will be playing for Support Team A where our team member comprises the ladies champion from last year, a 4th & a quarter finalist placing for men plus a new comer.
On paper...based on last year individual results...it does not look bright for the Application Support Department...but still we have a good chance to have one of our teams to finish among the top 3 teams or having both teams in the semi finals....is ass kicking time!! And we will give them a good fight!!!
