Hmm...work here in Kuching is done...still got some times before checking out and catch my flight to Kota Kinabalu. Hey, AirAisa is on time and landed 20mins earlier....so proud they have to announce all in 3 languages before the plane came to halt at the terminal :) This is my 2nd trip to Kuching after 3 yrs.....I still find it hard to get around within Cat Town without your own transport....hopping into any cab....they will charge you RM10 irregardless where you go (near or far)...they will ask for more if a bit further to them. Worse than KL right?
Obviously, the Kuching International Airport has been given a brand new look.....the last trip here the airport was undergoing heavy renovation....they supposed to get a brand new airport build somewhere else....but not enough fund from the federal govt!!??? So, got no choice to reno and expand the current one. I can imagine the poeple frustration and anger when the cab driver told me about it....after all is all about distribution of revenue for development.....Sabah and Sarawak contriubted a lot to the revenues but in the end how much they get back for their own development in their respective states??? :( BN should really thankful for their support....else you won't even get the simple majority!!!
I really got lost in town after work...already finished late...most people had gone home "on time". So, I just walked around to get to the nearest bus stand without knowing which direction I am at...waited 40mins no bus nor cab came by :( In the end there is a public bus came....I just hop on and hope it will get me to town....then I catch a cab in town back to the hotel.
Something about the accommodation....as this is just a short trip... i don't really particular where they going to put me up to....as long as the place is convenient for me to have my meals, get to the workplace and most importantly the room must be cleaned especially the toilet and bathroom...after all I will only spend the few hours inside the room bathing and sleeping before moving on....so how it actually turned out to be?? Disappointing.......and horrible experience in this 3-stars hotel....the worst i ever been staying in a 3-star hotel. Going to blacklist this hotel!
I can still tolerate with the bed.....
The toilet and bathroom......beyond tolerable! White toilet bowl, toilet seat and towels turned so "yellowish".....
Just look at the bathroom tiles........ like never clean for ages...
White mug also turned yellow and smelly....yucks!
Just wondering when was the last time this room was occupied.....
Then came dinner time and it was really not my day.....heavy rain out there...so decided just eat at the cafe....ordered buttered fish searved with steamed rice. Looks tempting and yummy....
Now wait.......look carefully into the 1st pic...i noticed this while shooting the pic with my phone cam...that is not a hairline crack or so on the plate....it is actually a long hair in my dish!!!
I got the waiter bring it back to the kitchen and ask the cook if he/she needs the hair back! Really appetite spoiling!the story about the hotel doesn't end here......about 10pm ...there is such a sudden strong burning smell came into the room....quickly check and check it is not from within the room....open up my door and the burning smell came from outside the corridor...called up the front desk and they told me someone (definitely a joker!) drop the cigarrette butt into the dustbin and caught fire!!?? It must be from one of those Ah Bengs I bumped inside the lift just now staying on the same floor....Oh my....what else going to come after this??
This isn't a pleasant experience at all.....Hope I will enjoy KK more...my favorite seafood restaurant...the filipino and wet market....here i come!!! The only credit I will give to this hotel is the free wifi access from the room..... Others?? Err....tak payah cakap banyak la.
Now, at airport's Starbucks to have a quick bite while waiting for my flight.....
Hopefully I would not find any hairs in my sandwich!!! Hahahaha....adios...see you guys in KK.
