Time flies....the Beijing 2008 game will draw its closing curtain tomorrow (Sunday 24th August)
How does our beloved fellow sportsmen and sportswomen flare in the game? I am sure many would have different views....Don't get me wrong...I not criticising their performance....nanti orang cakap...u pandai2 cakap tapi tak nampak you represent Mesia kat Beijing pun!??
To me it is all about being competitive, continuous learning, continuous progressing, living up to expectations, mental strength, pushing yourself to the limits...and a bit of luck. Yeah...betul...smemang senang cakap jer :) As far as being a patriot Malaysian...I would love to see more of our athletes make it to the prestigious game or world stage, success in the game and make the country proud....
But what really want to say here is about the coaches.....I am sad not because CHE Chew Chan lost and failed to clear her quarterfinal match in Tae Kwan Do live telecast this afternoon on Astro Supersports....that suddenly diheboh-hebohkan dalam paper, astro commentator mungkin dapat menyumbang pingat kedua kepada negara....
It is not easy judging on the paper as the field filled with more experienced opponents mainly from previous games medal winners, former world champions....etc. Of course I would like to see her overcome the odds and create upsets being the 1st timer qualified for the Olympic game as Asian Game silver medalist....
I can see she tried all she could to score points against her opponent....but it wasn't her day....what makes me more sad (a bit of anger) with the lost was what I seen/captured on the TV screen...when she walked out from the battle ring after her lost to her opponent.....Someone please get her coach replace!
