Speaking of which.....I have lost count on the number of by-election after the General Election in 2008. Some said it is bad...burden the rakyat, waste of fund to run the by-election....etc.
My thought is somehow otherwise.....
1) It makes all the political parties to give more attention to the seat contested.....how important the contested seat to them....how important the rakyat in those area to them....In return, rakyat in that area gets more attention of their needs.....theirs voices are heard....Rakyat is more "didahulukan" in a way. Is that bad?
2) There are "extra" funds pouring into those constituents for various purposes to address the rakyat needs. Example: upgrading schools...not only malay schools but also chinese and indian schools....again "all rakyat" didahulukan lagi in semangat 1 Malaysia....which is good.
Provided the political party that pouring in the $$$ wins la and keep to their promise where their Pencapaian can "diutamakan". Else, everybody just back to square one.
After all, it is still not a bad thing to have happened :)
